Tell us about yourself:
I was born and raised in The Bronx, NY. Didn’t like the city life so I ventured West where my mom lived. Almost 20 years later, I run my own cleaning business, am engaged to a wonderful man and have a super talented daughter!
What do you do for a job?
I own a cleaning business. My boss is awful. She never approves my time-off requests!
Tell us something people might not know about you:
When I lived in a small town called Meadville, Pennsylvania, I was one of the housekeepers for Hotel Conneaut, which is a haunted hotel. It was featured on a popular A&E show called “Paranormal State” and you can hear me in the episode. We were knocking on the door….Ryan and the ghost hunting crew thought we were ghosts.
What brought you to CrossFit in the first place?
It was during covid. The gym I belonged to wasn’t doing so well. So, I researched a better gym. Beachside just happened to be a Crossfit affiliate
What was your first impression? How has that changed?
I thought I was in the wrong gym! Crossfit athletes are absolute beasts and I admire the athletes at all levels. Even though I’m oftentimes the caboose on the leaderboard, I’m still very proud of how far I’ve come.
What was your first “Bright Spot?”
My first rope climb. This was before my break from the gym. I’m getting close to achieving that again.
What are you working on now?
20″ box jump. I’m stuck on the special 16″box.
What’s your favorite BeachSide CrossFit memory?
The first Crossfit Open where I saw my first bar muscle up in person. I still gawk at people when they do that!
