OUR STORY

Today we have a five full time expert CrossFit Level 2 coaches and over 55 CrossFit classes a week which include our CrossFit Adults, CrossFit Teens, CrossFit Kids Advanced & CrossFit Kids Programs,  plus personal training and nutrition support at every step. Beachside CrossFit has outstanding Coaches.  Each Coach at BSCF holds the CrossFit Level 2 Certification and each pride themsleves in delivering professional, encouraging and supportive coaching to each and every member. Understanding movement and how to coach to each individual needs one on one. The coaches strive to help each athlete progress on the specific fitness goals they are wishing to attain. The BSCF Coaches are the gold standard of CrossFit Coaches. Each reach out to each client and keep them motivated and progressing to succeed. The team understands how to develop athletes through progressive and sustained movement, programing and skill development.

The NCFit program BSCF utilizes is one of the best that can be experienced. As one of the first NCfit Collective members they understand how to achieve strength, flexibility, endurance, and power just to name a few areas while keeping all athletes safe and challenged, in other words this program is designed to provide never ending progress with the perfect amount of volume for any person, preparing you to feel better and live a longer functional life while having fun every day . The program constantly adds skill sets to help all levels of CrossFitters from the one that is ready for advance skills to the beginner each is successful at Beachside due to the outstanding well planned programing that fits each level of athlete.

COMMUNITY

Community is the most important element of this CrossFit Gym. The people make this place unique and wonderful. From the time you walk in the door to when you leave the friendly positive feelings are seen on each face. BSCF has great coaches and athletes but most important it has great people that feel like family from day one. When coming to a CrossFit gym the workouts can get tough but with such a positive staff and community you leave each day ready for the next.

WHY IS YOUR GYM MORE EXPENSIVE THAN OTHER GYMS?

We know you may have a lot of choices on where to workout. What’s best… A treadmill at home? The gym down the street that is $15/month? A CrossFit membership?

We’d actually encourage you to ask a different question. What are your goals? Personalized attention? Trained, professional coaches? Accountability? Working out with a group of like-minded people who cheer on your success? If the answer to any of the above is “yes”, then we’d encourage you to check us out.

WHAT WILL MY FIRST TIME IN YOUR GYM BE LIKE?

Your first time in, we want you to feel comfortable. One of our awesome coaches will give you a tour of the facilities, we’ll sit down with you and walk through your goals, we’ll do a quick fitness assessment with you, and we’ll walk through what you can expect.

WHAT EXACTLY IS CROSSFIT?

CrossFit is a fitness program that will change your life. By it’s definition, it uses “constantly varied, functional movement performed at a relative high intensity”. As a truly functional program, the difficulty level of our daily workouts is designed to be increased or decreased, depending upon the individual. This makes them doable by anyone.

Daily workouts could include things such as core conditioning, rowing, sprinting, gymnastics, lifting, etc. And all our workouts are designed to improve overall flexibility, strength, speed, endurance, and agility.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU RECOMMEND I COME TO THE GYM?

If you’re just starting up, we recommend coming three days/week for your first couple weeks, then build to four, then five. Once you’re up to five days per week, we recommend building in two recovery days per week.

I’M NOT IN VERY GOOD SHAPE… CAN I DO CROSSFIT?

The very first thing you will discover is that CrossFit does not discriminate. Whether you are young at heart, or have just completed your 50th marathon, or are recovering from injury or healing a broken heart, whether walking the dog is the only exercise you’ve had in years, or you’re someone training for the Iditarod…We will help you achieve your fitness goals.

One of the things that makes CrossFit so unique is our community of people from literally every walk of life: stay-at-home parents, elite athletes, students, CEOs, members of the armed services, firefighters, you name it. CrossFit bodies – our bodies – come in every imaginable size, shape and age; and yet, our workouts every day are designed for anyone to do them.

WHAT’S YOUR DROP-IN POLICY?

We love nothing more than having visitors from other boxes come “throw down” with us! If you are just passing through, we offer a charge per day or we offer a week-long punch card link.

It’d be great if you’d plan on arriving 15 minutes before scheduled class time so we can provide you with a waiver to sign and introduce you to our box. You can find our class schedule [here].

You may find that we do things a little differently than your “box back home.” We hope that you enjoy the change in scenery, clientele, maybe even music. If anything makes you uncomfortable, however, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

Founding BSCF August of 2010 Nathan then completed his CrossFit Level 2 in 2010 and earned 8 relevant CrossFit certifications. In 2014 he became the first in Ventura County to be recognized as a Advanced Sports Performance Coach Level 2 by United States Weightlifting (USAW) as well as the first to become a Catalyst Athletics Certified Weightlifting Coach. He has also earned a credited Precision Nutrition CoachL1 through Precision Nutrition the industries leading nutrition coaching educational agency.

Coming from a gymnastics background Kai started CrossFit at BSCF in 2016. Although she was hesitant at first, she quickly came to love it! Kai became obsessed with the sport, making herself a regular face five – six days a week. After 3 years of observing & learning she first started coaching alongside the Kids Head Coach/Director Coach Cindy in 2017. After a  years of coaching CrossFit Kids and Teens and obtaining her Level 1 and Level 2 CrossFit Certifications she has now is a professional coach at BSCF.
