Oreo cookies….what exactly is that your eating..Sweeteners like Sugar, corn syrup, oil and artificial vanilla flavoring..not one hint of Cocoa or real vanilla..Hmmm so as you eat the oreo cookie, it only takes a few seconds for thing to dissolve and go right down, really quick, just long enough to get a taste, and to appeal to all our senses, taste, smell, texture. What happens is you immediately get attached to the pleasant emotions created by that experience, but it only last a few seconds. What to do next, eat another and another and another….As these chemicals and artificial sweeteners hit the body, the only thing it can do is react and in fact the body starts to fight these chemicals and artificial sweeteners. Don’t believe me, why do people get sick stomachs after eating these things. the body is reacting, begging to give it a break, but we can not stop and next time we are around such sweets we will pop them in again. Looking for that moment of pleasure. It is not too far off from the same way the brain reacts to cocaine, the drug user will only get a few moments of pleasure, then feel ill. But will go back, time and time again.
The world of processed food IS DESIGNED to create these emotions, through sugar, salt and fat. And who stops at one cookie or a few chips?? Will you go to hell for eating these??not likely, but a lifetime of doing so may help speed up the process of going somewhere.. Be aware of what is really going on and make a choice.
Author of “Good Calories, Bad Calories” Gary Taubes talks about Toxic Sugar.. in my opinion Taubes is a hero in the ‘eliminate shitty foods campaign’..shitty being sugar, and refined carbs etc…….8 years of research as a Science journalist NOT a diet seller and the findings seem to be irrefutable.
