OC Throwdown 2011

Great way to spend a weekend, with amazing athletes, friends and WODS that were simply destroying the best of them, I have to admit, i was one of those being destroyed, never thought box jumps would be so brutal..well after the gauntlet of movements just done…it makes perfect sense…as for the placement…………………….We went out with another gym, CrossFit FAST of Augora Hills, with Mike and Daniel Tromello competing… On our team was the lone duo, myself and Mee. Long story short Mee finished 5th out of woman’s intermediate and I finished 26 out of mens elite …it really comes down to seconds and the way thing is scored. I can say I did NOT DNF any wod and there were some WODS that were def. DNFing some amazing athletes. That damn chipper was danger…….and very fun to watch, with exciting battles to the very end, in fact the mens Elite came down to a tie breaker..20 muscle ups for time, head to head.. cool stuff!

The boys from fast did great as well. Mike came in 25th..we were toe to toe the entire time and Dan came 9th, his kicker was the heavy ground to overhead WOD…..

A very special thanks to , Ginger, Herb, Milan, Lynn, Kelsey, Louis and Nilce for coming all the way down and encouraging us through some hard times..I hope everyone enjoyed the company. More to come!!
